Shimmy Feintuch, LCSW CASAC-G
Shimmy is a psychotherapist, professor, writer, and international public speaker. For the past ten years, Shimmy has worked at The Jewish Board, Yeshiva of Central Queens, Interborough, The Safe Foundation addictions outpatient center, Chai Lifeline, and Ezra Medical Center. He taught courses in addiction and trauma at Touro College’s Mental Health Counseling program for two years, and he has written extensively on the topics of mental health and spirituality.
While Shimmy considers himself a generalist practitioner of psychotherapy, he particularly enjoys working with individuals and families affected by addiction. He has found mindfulness to be an exceptionally versatile clinical tool in treating these issues.
