Nicole Amesbury

LMHC

Nicole is a psychotherapist, (LMHC) licensed in Florida, who for over a decade, has helped people navigate through relationship dilemmas, anxiety, trauma recovery, personality and identity concerns with her genuine care, warmth and wisdom. She draws from different modalities to help people with life’s challenges and discover their strengths. They include: Cognitive-Behavioral, Psychodynamic, Persons-Centered and Existentialism.

Nicole describes her approach to therapy as, “My approach to therapy is grounded in empathy, respect and collaboration, creating a safe and non-judgmental space for exploration and self-discovery. I work from the acknowledgment that therapy is a deeply individual and personal experience. Therapists and clients work together, understanding the client’s dilemmas and how they can create change which leads to greater intimacy, growth and personal fulfillment.”

Nicole received her Master’s degree in the Science of Counseling Psychology from Nova Southeastern University. After graduation, she was one of the early pioneers in developing on-line therapy working with Dr. Irvin Yalom on the integration of existential/persons-centered approaches and evidence based practices in the technological delivery of therapy.
